From Night School Studio and MWI Interactive, there’s some new info about their upcoming sequel, Oxenfree II Lost Signals.

There’s only so many times I can say ‘one of the best soundtracks ever’, but Oxenfree is one of the best. And that story and its ambience? Brilliant. Besides reliving it again with another playthrough, there’s news that the sequel will be coming to PlayStation on launch.

OXENFREE II: Lost Signals Review - Manage Your Expectations
Keep listening to the airwaves in long-awaited sequel, OXENFREE II: Lost Signals - on PC and consoles now.

What does that mean? It means that both PS4 and PS5 will be available at the same time as the other platforms. Set five years after the first game, Oxenfree II Lost Signals features and an all-new cast, but with the same supernatural elements that made the first game so good.

The new protagonist, Riley Poverly (sounds like a 90s Nickelodeon character), is an environmental researcher who returns home to investigate some mysterious radio frequencies, soon linking them to nearby Edwards Island.

Alas, bad news for the impatient: Oxenfree II Lost Signals won’t be available until 2022, but if it’s like its predecessor, it’ll be worth the wait. Plus it’s coming to PS4 and PS5 – stop moaning.
