Pixel Heroes Mega Byte & Magic Ported From The C64?

Pixel Heroes Mega Byte & Magic out now on Switch
Source: Steam

Pixel Heroes Mega Byte & Magic popped up during a browse on the Nintendo eShop, and it struck me as one to add to my wishlist for when it comes out. Well, it’s out now.

From Headup Games and The Bitfather, Pixel Heroes Mega Byte & Magic is a retro-inspired rogue-like full of nostalgia, gags and quirky characters. Well, it would have to with a title like that, right? With well over 33 (count ’em) here classes, each with their own skills and attributes, there’s a lot on this hood for RPG adventurers.

In addition to the extensive roster of heroes, there are four unlockable campaigns and procedurally generated axes, spears, spells, crossbows and more to add to your arsenal. But the highlight has to be this bit: “the weirdest NPCs you will ever meet in a game!”

The Switch has proved to be a fantastic platform for indie games and we think players are going to have a lot of fun with our retro RPG and roguelike mechanics.
