PlayStation Plus Games for January 2020
There’s one subscription that I don’t anticipate cancelling in 2020, and that’s the PlayStation Plus service.
- A Q&A With imaginarylab, Creators Of Whirlight – No Time To Trip
- The Best Of Two Worlds In Shin Chan: Shiro And The Coal Town
- Blood Hunting Is Dark And Dangerous, This Summer On PS5

You know how it is; begin the New Year and start looking at ways to cut back after overspending the month before. Gym memberships are usually first to go, even though you need to lose that extra weight, and occasionally Amazon Prime and other surplus services you might not need. Well, if you’re thinking of getting rid of PlayStation Plus, think carefully as there are two new titles this month worth a look.
Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection
The first for PlayStation Plus games in January is Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection. When I first played Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune, I wasn’t that impressed. It felt like Tomb Raider but the combat was a bit sloppy. I’m sure many will disagree with me, but that’s how I felt. Simple as. By the time Uncharted 2: Among Thieves came out, I gave it another go, but this time I was pretty much wowed by it.
Set pieces in the Uncharted series are second to none. The dialogue is usually very good and Naughty Dog clearly have researched the subject matter and turned it into something playable. I think I might have missed Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. I just can’t remember playing it. Thankfully, Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection features all three titles to get your mitts on, so if like me, you get a second chance to play these titles on your PS4.
Goat Simulator
Next up on the PlayStation Plus list is Goat Simulator. When I first saw this, I never even gave it the light of day as it just felt completely stupid. However, in the last year or so I’ve played so many simulators that I’m actually willing to give it a chance. I’ve played bus simulators, fishing in Norway, bee simulations – you name it. I know nothing about it, nor will I read up on it as everything I write is from my own beautiful mind. I don’t want to be influenced by other opinions. I’m easily lead.
Anyhoo, these games will be due out on the 7th January 2020. Even if you don’t fancy playing them now, add them to your library and for as long as you stay a PlayStation Plus member, they’re yours forever and ever and ever and ever and so on…
