Rock n Roll Will Never Die Walkthrough

Rock n Roll Will Never Die is one of the funniest point and clicks of late and features an amusing if somewhat absurd storyline to boot. Despite having some easy puzzles, it’s a pretty long game, and you may get stuck along the way.

So, I decided to write a Rock n Roll Will Never Die walkthrough should you get stuck. Once you’ve done them, some of the solutions seem obvious, but before you pull your hair out, see this through to the end as it’s such an enjoyable experience.

Naturally, there are spoilers; it’s a walkthrough. It’s also not for 100% achievements. Take a look at those periodically or save your game frequently, as if you miss any, you’ll have to reload a saved game.

Getting The Band Back Together

In the toilets, pick up the syringe. Take the toilet roll and drop it in the toilet. Take the goo on the floor and exit.

In the bar, use the goo on the window. Talk to Methany and tell her the window is filthy. Talk to the Gambler. Speak with the horse and ask for their shoes. Tell them this is a Japanese place, noting that Methany is ‘waving’ at the window. Give the shoes to the gambler, then talk to Methany again. Tell her the toilet is flooded. 

Go into the toilet and click on the toolbox to get the screwdriver. Return to the bar and use the screwdriver on the four-leaf clover on the bar, then give it to the gambler to get a coin. Use the coin on the jukebox. Talk to the snake and then get the flowers to give to Methany (talk to her first, you fool). Take the beers and give them to Leo, then exhaust the conversation to ‘get the band back together’.

From the world map, head to the hospital. Use the syringe on the flamingo. Walk to the right and take a magazine featuring Angus Beef. Go through to the right door. Talk to Apeshit. Talk to the patient and use the screwdriver on their bed. Unplug the life support, then plug in the TV. Take the rotting food.

Demon and The Paparazzi

Go to Demon’s apartment (on the far left). Talk to the paparazzi, then use the magazine on the scanner by the door to enter. Do the same thing on the lift to enter Beef’s apartment. Use the rotting food on Beef. Take the tape from the video recorder. Look at the couch and take the remote. Use the remote on the TV, then place the tape in the machine. Pick up the painting to enter the safe, then take the photos. Leave the building and give the video to the paps. 

Use the magazine on the scanner to enter, then once inside, use the photo of Demon on the scanner of the lift. Leo’s gone but head back out into the hot dog place to meet up. Look at the help wanted sign and speak to the vendor to get hired. Take the salmon on the right and drop it in the cheese pot.

Tell the dog vendor about your invention. Go outside and tell the paps about the new addition to the menu. Use the magazine on the scanner and then the photo of Demon.

Freeing Apeshit/Cleaning The Sewer

Return to the hospital and go to Apeshit’s room. Use the remote on the TV. Give the remote to the patient, then talk to Apeshit. Give the screwdriver to Apeshit. Take the pills with the X. Give the pills with the triangle to the big head. Climb inside the mouth. Click the face to bring the colour back (not sure if there’s a pattern – I did it the first time).

Go to the Den and talk to Apeshit/Leo. Exit to the map and head to the Decibelirium. Walk to the right and take the bass. Take the distortion pedal and plug into the heavy metal amp. Keep asking for free stuff until you get a sticker.

Return to the bar and speak to the plumber. Give him the screwdriver. Back at The Den, go inside the sewer. Press the top left valve, 4, 3. Use the pills in the trash?!!?! In the guitar case, put the magazine in one of the empty bottles. Click on the case to get some strings. Use the strings on the case and interact to make a song for the dolphin.

Recruiting Mutt/Inspiring Leo

Look at the ‘666’ and then talk to Mutt. Use the distortion pedal on the heavy amp, pick up the bass and play a solo (using on the amp). Then show him the erotic pics. Give him the sticker. Go back to The Den. Talk to Apeshit, and then leave.

Go to Whiskers. Take some money from the hat. Talk to the busker. Walk left and talk to the vendor. Give the money to get some nose glasses.

I haven’t 100% completed the game yet, so unsure of the download code!

Go to the bar and speak to the influencer. Now go to the cabin. Go inside the cabin and click on the bread. Put the pills in the juicer.

The Den

Return to The Den. Use the bread on Apeshit’s moonshine, then return to the birds outside the cabin. Trade the bread with the birds. Go inside the cabin and use the berries in the smoothie. Now head to Whiskers.

Use your blood at the crossroads. Interact with the pentagram to summon the Devil. Ask for help so Apeshit can play the drums, then sign the contract on his behalf. Friends. Back to the cabin.

Use the glasses on the bee to go incognito. Talk to the bee. Give them the Devil’s lettuce to make some honey. Go into the cabin and use the honey in the smoothie. Give the smoothie to Leo.

The House Party

Give Apeshit the pulley system. Now back to Whiskers. Use the piercing on the mime. Pick up the police badge.

Show the badge to the bouncer and then enter. Walk to the right and speak to the singer. Select the line about syphilis to force the band to quit. Talk to the promoter to find out you need to be famous.

Back to the den and read the note, and go inside. Go to the bar and speak to the influencer. Talk to Methany to get her to come to the gig, then ask for her phone. Use the phone on the influencer, using the username MegaBabezilla69. Give her the note. Back to the Den. Talk to the host upstairs and say you’re there to read the meter – the last one on the list.

Go inside and talk to the DJ elephant. Put the piercing in the chocolate box. Click on the table to unveil the piano. Notify the DJ. Talk to the penguin, then hit the dancefloor for some dad moves. Leave and go into the Den. Go to the bar. Talk to the band. Go to Whiskers. Place a poster on the wall next to the busker.

Jail Break

In prison, remove the poster. Talk to the prisoner, then walk right and give the second prisoner the cloth. Pick up the bar, then use it on the soap. Place the soap in the bucket, then interact with it. Use the metal bar on the bars to alert the police.

Take the key from the cop. Use the key in the lock. Walk left and interact with the locker, then the cop. Go back to the scam artist for help. Put the shark poster on the board, plus the gig poster. Talk to the Captain about the new evidence. Leave!

Go to music shop and put the poster on the noticeboard. Also, one over the graffiti outside the den. Put a poster on the window at the bar. Talk to Leo. Give him the photo album to blackmail Demon. Back to the music shop to rent a van. Drag money on to the salesperson.

Road Trip/Gig Setup

Walk right, take the sunscreen, and then walk left and into the gas station. Take a magnet off the stand. Swap the sunscreen for the castor oil. Use the oil on the sausage cart. Leave and walk right to see the tow truck. Use the magnet on the compass.

Go to the bar. Talk to the bartender and mention the neon sign. Ask for a drink to get the badly aged alcohol. Walk right and talk to the band. Ask to sniff their glue (don’t do it!). Take the laser on the stage. Leave the bar and go up the ladder to the side.

Look through the telescope. Any ideas on what to do with the laser and the blimp? Use the glue on the telescope. Talk to the bird about electricity and booze. Leave the roof and walk left. Use the booze in the birdbath. Take the sheers and use them on the bush to make a cock. Make a glorify alcohol message on the board. 

Return to the bird and tell him about the free booze. Use the sheers on the wire. Use the wire on the laser, then place it on the glue. Look through the telescope and aim at Beef, the church, then the blimp. Go back into the bar and talk to the main band. Head back to the church and talk to the youths. Go back to the bar.

Escape the 5-0/Studio Recording

Outside, use the police key on the kids. Go inside the bar and use the disguise on the rhino to get in. Outside again, use the police key on the van. Use the handcuffs on the band’s van(!) and then the bar to reach the pedals.

After the cutscene, walk left and take the paint. Click on the road. After the kids leave, speak to the band about lying on the road. Paint Apeshit.

Back at the Den, use the shears on the van. Look in the trash. Use the metal on the chilli plant (aim a little to the right of the centre). Look in the trash again. Use the food on the van.

Back to the bar. Read the newspaper, notably the recording studio info. Talk to the band about the album. Talk to the studio guy. Go back to the band, collect their money and give it to the studio guy.

Las Vegan

After waking in the hotel room, take the sheep, mirror and sugar. Look in the pants for the Ace of Spades… Use the sheep on the balloons. Leave. Talk to the hookers and get some hooks. Talk to the doorman to see you’re trapped inside. Use the hook on the painting, then attach the mirror.

Go into the theater. Talk to the roadie and tell them you’re the drum tech to get a pass. Back to the lobby. Use another hook on the roulette. Attach the inflatable sheep. When the gamblers are sleeping, attach the mirror to the hook on the painting. Place the ace of spades onto the dog gambler.

Play a game with them. Give the money to the doormouse and exit the casino. Talk to the gambler. Put some sugar in the delivery van. No reason. Use the shears on the car, then place the drum on it.

Walk right and talk to the construction worker. Show them the road crew pass to enter. Pour some sugar (Def Lepard?) into the cement, then use the drum on the cement mixer. Use the cement wheel on the car.

Trailer Park Studio

After the cutscenes, talk to the bar folk and head to the trailer park. Go into the studio and interact with the pile of crap to get the razor blade. Talk to the engineer, then head back outside. Get some lard from the sausage freezer. Talk to Bob and show him the crew pass and drum. Speak to Leo to get his mints. Unplug the freezer. Put mints into the keg. Use lard on Leo.

Go inside the studio, talk to the engineer to record, and then give him the phone. Use the phone on the microphone. Take the pile of tapes and stack them up (you don’t need a solution here, right?) Give the engineer the razor blade. Outside, feel free to pull the plug on the electricity.

Rehab for Leo

Meet up with Leo and go into the second door. Pick up a brochure from the back wall. Knock on all the doors – the fourth will give you a token. Go back to the receptionist and give them the brain leaflet to get some ink paper. Enter the third door. Give the ink paper to the hippo. Put the lard in the rucksack. Go outside to Leo.

After the cutscenes, you’re back in the den. Click on the mousehole, then use the spider on it. Talk to the mouse once more, then take the phone from the hole.

Funeral Service

Go into Casket Case. Talk to the vamp, then use the shears on the incinerator. Go outside and talk to Dick. Go to the cemetery and talk to the duck. Pick up the feather, then go back to Dick and dip the feather in the ink, then on the notepad. 

Next, use the blanket on the ink to make a ghost. Use the token on the ink too. Give the token to Dick; he’ll give you fake blood. Go back inside Casket Case. Use the fake blood on the floor slab to summon the devil. Use the balloon on the blanket to make a floating ghost. Use it on the mausoleum and the toilet paper on the customer to cause her to damage the coffin. Back outside, search the dumpster. After the puzzle, get the wheelbarrow from the cemetery.

Talk to all the guests, including Mutt, to get a ring. Speak to Dick and trade the ring for the bible. Give the bible to the priest. Give Leo’s lyrics to the musician. Talk to Mrs Apeshit, then the band.

The Heist

Go through all the money-making options. Talk to the bartender, then head to Whiskers and convince the busker to play at the bar. Get the bartender to call the bank again. When they arrive, talk to the rat, then give them your beer. 

Keep talking until they leave to use the toilet. Examine their briefcase and take the keycard. Go back to Whiskers and speak to the owner. Pick up the TNT and lighting. Place the lighting on the bar. Head back to the den and enter the sewer. Again.

I skipped the maze. I couldn’t be bothered.

Tickle the croc, then give him the shears for his cans. Put the dynamite on the wall, then enter the hole. Take the powder on the washing machine and the bubble bath by the tub. Put the bubble bath in the tub. Take the rubber duck. Use the candle on the shelf (hairspray), then go through the hole. Use the rubber duck on the rat.

Use the powder on the keypad, then use it accordingly. 

The code is 666. Use the ID card on the scanner. Look at the machinery on the left. If you consider that the button buttons are numbers 1-6, press in this order: 6143. I input this wrong, and the sequence changed, so I skipped through laziness.

Halloween At The School

At the bar. Talk to the customers, then leave for the Halloween party. Go inside the school. Talk to the guests. After speaking with the Tunabomber, tell the teacher, then give him the Tunabomber leaflet. Ask Demon to help with the magic show, then give him the Tunabomber disguise. Talk to Lisa. After the show, talk to the hall monitor to get back your razor. Exit and use the saw on the tree branch to the far left. Drop the razor through the window and go back inside.

Go to the buffet table to check for the razor, then head back to the teacher to grab it. Use the razor on the pumpkin, then pick up the pieces. Use the saw on the pipe next to the projector. Leave and put pumpkin pieces in the plastic bin. Tell the janitor, then close the lid on him. Check his pockets for the keys. Use the keys on the teacher’s room to the right.

Inside, place the tape in the machine by the PA system, then read the newspaper. Look in the left locker for the answer book and a gag. Head outside and give the gag to Mutt outside. Back in the hall and unlock the door. Give the cigarettes to the lunch lady. Take the pot and use it with the red chilli powder. Exit, then place in the cannon.

Give the answer book to the octopus. Now ask them for some ink for the copier in the teacher’s room. Head there and use in the machine. Use Apeshit’s photo for transparency. Use the empty ink bottle on the coffee. Go into the hall, use the coffee on the sleepy kid by Leo, and then ask for help with the projector. Talk to Leo, then start the show.

Use the cannon on the people. Hit the Tunabomber, the switch, then hit the coffee kid and repeatedly hit the pot on the table. Shoot the bunny on the far right, then the pot to rebound off the fan. On the stage, talk to the audience to help Leo. 

Any Errors? How to Get 100% Achievements?

And there you have it, the end of this Rock n Roll Will Never Die walkthrough. As mentioned, this isn’t 100% achievement-based, but you will see the outcome of the band.
