Shadow Of The Guild Rears Its Head Next Month

Where are all the beat ’em ups of late? Ok, maybe Shadow of the Guild isn’t a conventional fighter, but it’s being touted as a beat ’em up/RPG, and it looks pretty darn good. Did you play the demo during Steam Next Fest?

Anyways, what started as a saga of books, The Rain Merchant’s Guild, morphed into this story-driven Metroidvania heading to PC next month, courtesy of Guild Studios.

In Shadow of the Guild, you play as Yarán – a deadly ‘shadow’, on the Guild’s spies trained as warriors, mages and assassins. Their specific goal is to find out how Emperor Gethro III has learned to make clouds and steal the domination of rain and clouds from the Guild. Lost?
