Down With The CORP, Send In The Simulakros Units
Infiltrate the malevolent CORP with the latest combat androids in Simulakros - an upcoming rogue-lite with a playable demo on Steam.
In a futuristic world dominated by the evil CORP, players will infiltrate their facilities in Simulakros - a third-person rogue-lite from Sirio Games and Dear Villagers, coming to Steam in October this year.
Offering three unique combat androids known as Simulakros Units, there are three different playstyles in this intense, fast-paced action, battling deadly robots and navigating ever-changing randomly generated levels.
Though Simulakros takes inspiration from classic action games, it also offers modern twists, such as its horizontal progression system, power-ups, and permanent upgrades. As this is a rogue-lite, no run is the same, and with a mysterious hacker ally by your side, the mechanics aren’t the only twist.
Key features include:
- THIRD PERSON FAST-PACED SHOOTER - Defy the CORP by using their own creation against them, the Simulakros Unit, equipped with advanced weapons and abilities to wreak havoc to their facilities.
- RANDOMIZED LEVELS WITH HANDCRAFTED LEVEL DESIGN - Enjoy randomly generated levels composed of carefully crafted parts. Each run the game will be different as the environment keeps changing while staying true to the designer’s vision.
- 3 PLAYABLE CHARACTERS - Take control of 3 different Simulakros Units, each having their own unique playstyle with unique weapons, skills and power-ups.
- Sharpshooter: Sharp and deadly. Fight from a distance with this unit equipped with high precision rifles capable of charging devastating shots and time-manipulation abilities.
- Barrage: Fast and ruthless. Wield a short-range SMG and a long-range pistol with this unit equipped with explosive energy-based abilities.
- Rupture: Powerful and fearless. Bring the fight to them with a close-range shotgun and powerful grenades. This unit is pure aggression, capable of surprising enemies by teleporting behind them.
- CUSTOMIZATION - Each run will feel unique as you gather random power-ups and upgrades that change your playstyle and improve your abilities. Will you become strong enough to defeat the CORP?
- HORIZONTAL PROGRESSION - Inside the CORP facilities you will discover powerful chips that you can equip to permanently improve your ability to control Simulakros Units. Each run will grant you experience, allowing you to equip more and more!
The release date for Simulakros hasn’t been announced yet, though a playable demo is available now on Steam.
