Music, Magic and Mechanics In Sonority

Sonority release date

A migraine took me out of the game (quite literally) these past couple of days, so just catching up with some news, starting with Sonority – a puzzle game coming to PC, Mac and Linux later this month.

From Hanging Gardens Interactive and Application Systems Heidelberg (Unforeseen Incidents and The Longing), comes this handcrafted ‘innovative music puzzle adventure’ set in a fascinating world.

Key features in Sonority include:

  • Interesting new puzzle mechanic based on melodies. (Simple note sequences develop into small melodies and then into complex pieces of music.)
  • A touching story about Esther and an old, oddball raccoon and his singing stone friends.
  • A lovingly designed, cohesive 3D game world with varied locations.
  • Atmospheric, extensive soundtrack with English and German versions of original songs.
  • Play with keyboard or controller.

Here’s what it looks like in motion…

Sonority will be available on the 25th of May for PC, Mac and Linux via Steam, GOG, Humble Store, Mac App Store and other online stores for $19.99/€17.99, respectively.
