It’s not long to go until Source Of Madness hits the shelves – a Lovecraft-inspired action rogue-lite coming to Steam, courtesy of Carry Castle and Thunderful Publishing (Lonely Mountains Downhill, Curious Expedition 2).
In preparation for this year’s Guerilla Collective showcase, a new trailer has been released that exhibits the procedurally generated horrors in this side-scrolling game.
Playing as a new Acolyte, you descend into this hellish abyss to uncover the cosmic secrets of the Loam Lands and The Tower of Madness, the moon’s mysterious Citadel.
Source Of Madness has a strong Lovecraftian vibe throughout, through ever-changing landscapes and new monstrosities, courtesy of the machine learning AI in the game.
We not only wanted to showcase our unique AI-driven art style, with its gothic and Lovecraftian overtones; but we also used this opportunity to tease a little more of the arcane lore that Source of Madness will contain for those willing to explore it deeper…Carry Castle CEO Per Fronander
