Will Strayed Lights Light Your Fire?
Ok, so that title is a little play on the upcoming game Strayed Lights and the French studio behind it, Embers. Well, we’ve opened the door, and you’ve stepped inside. You may as well continue to read all about it.
Playing as a tiny light, you have to travel to a mysterious land while being pursued by rogue shadow creatures. Gradually you will grow, developing both in size and abilities and before you know it, you’re taking on boss fights!
Strayed Lights is an ode to resilience through its combat flow and story… You face giant creatures submerged by an emotion they now personify and try to soothe them and grow in the process. We intentionally added no text or dialogue in the game to let players come up with their own interpretation.

Watching the trailer had me believing this is a rhythm game, but that’s probably down to the editing and music from Grammy award-winning composer Austin Wintory (behind the likes of Abzû and Journey). Check it out for yourself:
Strayed Lights is coming to PC, PS5/4, Xbox Series/One and the Nintendo Switch in April 2023.
