Supermarket Shriek is heading to the Switch, PS4 and PC this year. Ahem: AAAAAAHHHHHH!

Now there’s a bit more normality as lockdowns are lifted, Johnny Public can head to the shops for consumer therapy, with their goat in tow. Hold up: that’s not a slur is it? Goat?

In Supermarket Shriek, you and your goat head out into the murky realms of the aisle, avoiding all signs of elusive toilet rolls, tightly packed cereal boxes and screaming throughout the process.

Other than the goat, this seems like a real-life simulator, only developer Billy Goat Entertainment (website is currently in development, so bookmark it) and the ever-prolific publisher PQube has put emphasis on the physics elements, ensuring a hilarious romp. Sounds like a tabloid comment.

The game represents my thoughts on shopping in terms of chaos. However, it appears to be a much more enjoyable experience rather than the teeth-pulling – shopping for the essentials.

Unless it’s beer.

Supermarket Shriek features the following:

  • Use this technique to manouver your shopping cart through various Supermarkets, Boutiques and other stores to reach the goal! Crash through piles of cans, jump over your everyday burning pits, dodge totally common boxing gloves on springs and much more as you wreak havoc on your way to the exit.FeatAAAAAAAAAHHHrsStory Mode with 38 whacky stages, can be played alone or with a friend in Co-Op!
  • Unique Co-Op “Duet Mode”, where you (and a friend) can literally shriek your way to glory by controlling the action using a microphone (Steam/PS4 only)
  • 3 chaotic PvP Party Modes for between 2 to 4 players

Supermarket Shriek is coming to the Switch, PS4 and PC later this year, following the unrivalled screaming success on the Xbox One.
