A dark, medieval arcade platformer that isn’t Ghosts ‘n Goblins, Swords & Bones takes all those things you love about old school action and bottles it, specifically for your Nintendo Switch.
Developed by retro fans SEEP (Thunderflash), the visuals have the hallmarks of ’16-bit classic’, and also passes a slight resemblance to Jump King. A good thing.
Besides thwarting evil, as that’s what us knights do, you’ll be able to collect coins to power them up, learn new skills and be the recipient of multiple endings – a bit of a rarity for this type of game.
Key features in Sword & Bones include:
- Over 50 levels, a huge number of enemies, and 6 bosses to defeat!
- Two different story endings!
- Improving the hero and acquiring new skills
- Pixel-art graphics in the 16-bit style which you love!
- Do you remember the golden age of chiptune music from the 80’s/90’s? Such music will accompany your adventure!
Here’s some animated fun:
Sword & Bones is being published by RedDeerGames. When I have an idea on the Nintendo Switch release date, I’ll let ya know.
