The BEST of Steam Next Fest June 2022
What’s happening in June 2022? The Queen’s Jubilee/birthday? Father’s Day? The day the Earth stood still? Nope, Steam Next Fest.
Better prepared this time by not taking on any review games; I’ve ended up buying games on my wishlist, subsequently filling up my available hard drive space to download all these demos (80+ at the last count in February, but I didn’t play them all).
A different approach here is a list of recommended titles to see if they deserve a spot on your growing wishlist. Instead of this being a post about what you should have played, these demos are live (as of the 14th of June), and you can try them out for yourself.
When I do them, I’ll link my write-ups, which will probably be more relevant once the demos are taken down. No links to the list below; I ain’t got time to bleed…
Steam Next Fest June 2022 Recommendations (So far…)
- Old Skies

- Legends of Kingdom Rush
- The Many Pieces of Mr. Coo
- Agent 64: Spies Never Die
- Nitro Kid
- Ripout
- Anger Foot
- Metal: Hellsinger
- Midnight Fight Express
- Beneath Oresa
- Melatonin
- Signalis
- The Fridge is Red
- Harmony’s Odyssey
- WrestleQuest
- Near-Mage (Prologue)
- Cult of the Lamb
- Disruption *
- Remedium *
- Broken Pieces
- Trepang2
- The Silent Swan
- Haruma
- Mortal Sin
- Nightmare Frames
- Dreams in the Witch House
- Midnight Girl
- We Stay Behind
The list is being added to, but there’s a fair amount that’s been downloaded and immediately deleted. That’s not necessarily because they’re shoddy titles, but some are massive files and a little bit too involved for a quickfire demo. Not that I’m being ungrateful…
Any recommendations for me? Prove you aren’t a bot and give me a shout…
