The Last Hero of Nostalgaia is being touted as ‘Stanley Parable meets Dark Souls‘, so that encourages a click, right? Upon watching the video, I wasn’t completely sold; however, as Coatsink is attached (The Ramp, Cloud Gardens, Moonglow Bay), it warrants a look.
Developed by Over The Moon, the game celebrates videogame nostalgia, taking the best from the most punishing of genres but rewarding players with challenging but fair combat.
Throughout your adventure in The Last Hero of Nostalgaia, you’ll be taking on ‘mindless inhabitants populating the degenerating world’, all the while battling a cynical narrator who is desperate for your demise, though with a witty edge.

Though the trailer didn’t grab me by the nuts, the more I think about this, the more I would welcome it with open arms, as you could too. Hop on over to Steam now and wishlist it. It’s out for PC (Steam & Windows) and the Xboxes from the 19th of October.
