A success on PC, The Suicide of Rachel Foster will be launched on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this month.
Hardly a title that’s going to have you jumping with joy, but seeing the mention of Daedalic Entertainment gives me the confidence that this is going to be a great game. But the spotlight must shift to the developers, ONE-O-ONE GAMES.
A first-person investigation, The Suicide of Rachel Foster is a ghost tale of sorts, where player choices influence the ending of the game. It also features binaural audio ‘to keep anyone on the edge of their seats’. That essentially means it sounds good.
Players pick up the role of Nicole, who sets out to uncover her family’s dark past. Somehow, her father is linked to the death of Rachel, but how? With the help of a FEMA agent (that’s a bone specialist), she aims to ‘unearth the truth once and for all’.
Core features in The Suicide of Rachel Foster include:
- Explore the vast and detailed hotel, unravelling the dark secrets of the family’s past
- Binaural audio for a truly immersive experience
- Intriguing, touching and mature storytelling
- Multi-layered narrative thriller, combining elements of mystery and horror
The Suicide of Rachel Foster is coming to both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on the 26th of August. Write/type it in your diary.
