Truck Driver Geared Up For The Switch

Simulation games no longer need an introduction or convincing whether or not the concept is a good one. We’ve had mainstay flight simulators to bus simulators and then goats. We’re back to trucks this time, and the title under the microscope today is Truck Driver, coming to the Nintendo Switch.

Already released on the PS4 and Xbox One in 2019, Truck Driver, developed by Kokku and released by Soedesco, brings the base game as well as some exclusives for the Switch. Now players can play with HD Rumble support and even tilt controls for those with a penchant for a bit more interactivity.

In the Switch version, it will feature some of the new modes introduced to the other platforms including a new photo mode, rain effects on the windshields, wipers and various other improvements such as smoother frame rates and adjustments to the visuals both in shades and textures – just to name a few.

Some of the features you can expect from Truck Driver:

  • Enjoy a trucking experience focused on your career as a truck driver
  • Build stronger relationships with the local community with each job
  • Customize your truck with tons of parts and tune it to your liking
  • Navigate through diverse landscapes and interesting locations

Interestingly, there’s a bit of a story to the game too. After inheriting a truck from your old man, you take it upon yourself to get out there in the big wide world of trucking working with a variety of professions and not just limited to one.

It’s not the kind of game I would say tickles my fancy. At least, that’s what I would have said in the past, but having played a lot of these simulators of late, Truck Driver is one to watch and pending the level of detail replicates some of its peers, I will be looking to review this game at some stage.
