Twin Mirror Offers A Hint Of Dualism In This Psychological Thriller, Out Now
Fans of Vampyr will be pleased to know their latest title, Twin Mirror, is now available for PC via the Epic Games Store, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
DONTNOD Entertainment and Shibuya Productions new narrative adventure follows Sam Higgs on a quest for the truth. A former investigative journalist, he heads back to his hometown, Basswood – the location of the death of his best friend, and uncovers some mysteries relating to the West Virginian city.
The mechanics employed by Twin Mirror, a psychological thriller, is a ‘Mind Palace’ that allows Sam to relive his memories through a series of flashbacks. This will enable him to dissect a scene to ‘predict the story’s key turning points’ but at a risk of harming those around him.
An after-effect of this Mind Palace is the ability for Sam to summon the Double – a character only he can see that is a representation of himself yet more emphatic and social. His presence will assist Sam when he needs to make critical decisions.
