Vindefiant: You Can't Fire Me, I Already Quit And I'm Taking My Tendrils With Me

Unfairly fired from their job, Alyx takes matters into their hands (and tendrils) in physics-based indie, Vindefiant.

Ooh… Vindefiant is an upcoming indie from Blakey Games about a corporate employee who loses their job and sets forth on a rampage, spearheading a tendril marketing campaign that’ll take all their ex-colleagues to Hades.

It sounds a bit like Carrion, but the protagonist, Alyx, is human (on the outside), so maybe it is a bit more relatable. If there are any signs of you developing your own tendrils to copycat this, I’m telling on you. Instead, check out the game—it looks like a lot of fun.

Key features of Vindefiant include:

  • A narrative driven, single player experience following a journey of chaos, twists and a protagonist willing to unleash evil to get what he wants
  • unique set of platforming controls, with the ability to glide across almost any wall or ceiling
  • Alyx uses a tendril to latch onto enemies, desk chairs, traffic lights, sewer pipes, doors and countless other objects. Enjoy creative freedom as you find new ways to kill every time you play
  • 10 chapters that lead players across different environments, ranging from a city at sunset to a dark, winding sewer
  • Unlock ‘Nightmare chapters’, harder, unforgiving variations that will require mastery of mechanics to beat.

When is it out? I don’t know other than Q4 2024, so add it to your wishlist and be in the cool gang.
