Voodoo Detective Is A Love Letter To The Point And Click

It’s rare to get excited about teaser trailers, but just going through the facts on the upcoming Voodoo Detective, any point and click fan will be rubbing their thighs in delight, even without knowing too much about it.

From Short Sleeve Studios, they have enlisted the help of the following for their mystery adventure coming to PC and mobile next year: ‘voice director Darragh O’Farrell (The Curse of Monkey Island), composer Peter McConnell (Psychonauts 2, Monkey Island 2: LeChuck’s Revenge), animator John MacFarlane (The Iron Giant, The Simpsons), sound designer Julian Kwasneski (Sam & Max, The Curse of Monkey Island), and more’.

Voodoo Detective is a 2D point and click with hand-drawn artwork and full voice-overs. Set in New Ginen, you play Voodoo Detective as he receives his next assignment; a mysterious woman with no past standing at the centre of the events that will unfold.

It’s very early days, but the above should excite fellow adventurers. Here’s a teaser, not revealing much other than the animation quality:
