Whateverland Is Out This Year? Yeah, Whatever... Wait - It Is?!
Whateverland showed up in my feed after what seems like an age, and thrilled to finally see a console release date, now that there’s the playable Prologue on the PlayStation, Xbox and Switch.
Wait a sec – the full game is coming next month!?
Developed by Caligari Games and published by WhisperGames (Drageus Games are doing the console release), Whateverland is a comedic hand-painted point and click adventure. After playing the Prologue, I was hooked but didn’t realise it had come out on PC. Well, now the console version is on its way.
- A not so classic point ‘n’ click.
- You can steal stuff. Or not – it’s your call.
- Your actions define the ending and what people think of you.
- The most annoying sidekick in the universe. (We still love you, Nick)
- You can talk to people. Not sure they’re going to talk to you, though.
- Turn-based strategy sports simulator included in the game. With magic.
- Loads of minigames.
- Music recorded with a real sextet. How sexy is that?
- Beautiful hand-drawn art style.
Sure, I loved it, but what about you? You have no idea, right? Here’s the trailer:
Whateverland is available on the PC now, with the PS4/5, Xbox One/Series X, and the Nintendo Switch versions coming out on the 22nd of September, 2023. Yahoo!
