The problem with advance notifications is you can’t always deliver on time if you don’t have a system in place. Before the announcement, I knew about Whirlight – No Time To Trip, but was sworn to secrecy not to tell anyone. Well, I forgot about it until now.
From the creators of Willy Morgan and The Curse of Bone Town (ahem – another game I covered before the hype – just saying), imaginarylab has unveiled their latest point and click adventure where you leap back and forth in time in 1960s Verice Bay. Anyone familiar with their previous title will note how they take the presentation up a gear like Grim Fandango did in the 1920s.
Whirlight will stand out in the point-and-click adventure genre by offering both a nostalgic nod to the past and a fresh, modern gaming experience... We are incredibly excited to build on what we’ve learned from Willy Morgan and the Curse of Bone Town and present players with unprecedented depth and diversity, be it in the form of visuals, gameplay, narrative, and more.

Before you clear a space on your desk for some pointing and clicking, Whirlight – No Time To Trip isn’t due until 2025 on Steam, but PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch versions will follow.
