Worms Armageddon - Anniversary Edition Announced
Launched in 1999, Digital Eclipse and Team17 are bringing this classic back in the form of Worms Armaggedon - Anniversary Edition.
Team17 will be treating their fanbase to a bout of worms as Worms Armageddon - Anniversary Edition is announced 25 years after its initial release, and who else could faithfully restore a classic? Digital Eclipse.
Launching next month, Worms Armageddon - Anniversary Edition will cater to fanboys such as yours truly, but also to a new generation who may have missed out on the mayhem the first time around, and perhaps wondering what their folks have been rabbiting on about.
The new edition will feature online cross-play so PS4 and PS5 owners will be able to play against each other, as well Xbox One and Xbox Series owners, and with support for uo to six players to team up or compete, well, it'll be armageddon...

• New display features such as modern aspect ratios, custom screen filters, enhanced HD and graphics options.
• Fully playable Game Boy Color version of Worms Armageddon

Worms Armageddon - Anniversary Edition will be available for PS5/4, Xbox Series X/S and One, and the Nintendo Switch from the 26th of September. Worms fans might want to note the upcoming board game available from the 9th September 2024.
