5 Recently Released Steam Games That Might Be Worth A Look

Too short for a feature, here’s a list of some Steam titles that have recently been released and been on my wishlist (some have been there for ages), but I haven’t played them yet.

Naively, I would say go check all of these out, but upon reviewing my Steam wishlist, I note that the first two have mixed reviews already. As these games didn’t come through the review pile, I’ll buy them when time permits, but are they worth it?

Here’s a list of recent Steam games from my list that I’d suggest taking a look at. If you’ve already played any from here, drop me a line and let me know if they’re work picking up now or waiting for a sale.

No Place For Bravery

The first title, and the one that triggered this post, is No Place For Bravery. This might have been one of the first games added to the list once I got back into PC gaming.

It featured on my games list to watch, and covered it in a preview ages ago. No Place For Bravery was a rollercoaster of difficulty – easy, hard, easy, brutal, and on my first experience, there was a lot of lag. The game was delayed but is now available on Steam. However, there are mixed reviews, even though all the negative ones have been filtered out….? One to keep on the list?

Blind Fate: Edo No Yami

Next up is Blind Fate: Edo No Yami. Again, another demo I played during Steam Next Fest and one with a cool concept and ultra-stylish.

You play a blind samurai in a dystopian Edo where machines have fused with folklore. It’s been put back a bit as the initial release date was Q1 2022. Was it worth the delay? Again, it’s another mixed rating on Steam, but giving an unbiased response: reviews are subjective.

Have you played it? Worth getting?

Broken Pieces

Broken Pieces is most likely my next purchase. I played this during the Summer Steam Next Fest and enjoyed it very much.

There were a lot of games at the time, so didn’t write much of them up. Currently on ‘mostly positive’, give this a look if you like third-person adventure titles – albeit not an open-world one.

One Dreamer

One Dreamer came out earlier in the month and has been on my radar for almost two years. However, despite its fair price, it still sits on the list.

Developed by F2House, it’s a pixel art adventure (yes, I’m not typically a fan) where you have to help Frank reconnect with video games as he’s lost his love for them. Why is this significant? He’s an indie developer…

Lost In Play

Coming back to sales, Lost in Play, released in August, has been on my wishlist for some time and note that it has a 20% discount at the time of writing. It currently has an overwhelmingly positive rating, so that’s a no-brainer, right?

Other than the above, the rest of my Steam wishlist are games that haven’t been released yet, or Wadjet Eye Games I’m keen to play when time permits.
