Solo developer Andre Gareis and publisher Dear Villagers have announced that Mindcop, a detective narrative-driven adventure with real-time puzzle mechanics, is coming to Steam, PS5, and Nintendo Switch in Q4 2024.

In a non-linear whodunnit, players will use their Mindcop abilities to uncover secrets and unravel people's lies to find the true suspect of a murder. With five days to solve the crime, the detective can sneak into their minds, though actions are paramount as they can lead to dead ends and one of the multiple endings.

The most interesting aspect of the game is its time management system: every action costs time, and the total time you have to find the murderer is limited. This gives weight to every decision and makes each game unique – Andre Gareis, Mindcop developer

Mindcop will be available later this year on PC via Steam, PS5 and Switch. A playable demo is currently available on Steam.
